LET’S GO GOLFING

I just finished reading a post from the Golf Channel. Great news...awesome news.

Not only has the door been opened for Lana Lawless to participate as a professional golfer on the LPGA, but the old rules have been completely overturned, setting a new policy which has removed the “female at birth” clause from its requirements for membership.

Not only was this paradigm shift enacted, it was approved with relative ease. According to the Golf Channel report, “The move to amend the bylaws to allow transgender membership was
easily passed in a vote in a players meeting at the Grand Cypress Hyatt just down the road from the site of this week’s LPGA Tour Championship.”

One can only hope that this progress oriented and forward looking amendment will set the stage for other sports and their associated athletic organizations to step into the 21st century.
